Basic Differences Between City Gas and Propane Gas
Rental properties use one of two types of gas: "city gas" and "propane gas (LPG)." While both are used for cooking, water heating, and heating, they differ in supply method, pricing structure, and moving procedures.
City Gas Supplied through underground pipelines installed by gas companies (such as Tokyo Gas, Osaka Gas, and Toho Gas). It's natural gas with methane as the primary component, supplied reliably at relatively low cost.
Delivered in liquefied form in cylinders (pressurized containers). Because it can be supplied to areas without pipeline infrastructure, it's commonly found in rural areas and older buildings. Propane and butane are its primary components.
